Get A QuoteBoth versions feature an easy-to-read LCD display, intuitive configuration interface, sensor recognition, fault diagnostics, and programmable calibration intervals. Their smart, intrinsically safe sensor connection allows plug-and-play sensor replacement, including hot swapping without removing power from the transmitter. A remote sensor mounting kit can position the sensor up to 15 m (50 ft) from the transmitter, which is useful where the sensing point is difficult to access.
The main difference is their hazardous-area configuration. The MkII uses a flameproof transmitter housing with an intrinsically safe sensor connection and is intended primarily for Zone 1/2 applications, while the MkIII is an intrinsically safe version that, with the appropriate IS barrier, can be used for Zone 0 applications.
