The Honeywell RAEGuard 2 PID is a fixed photoionization detector (PID) designed for continuous monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in industrial and hazardous environments. It uses a photoionization sensor to detect and measure VOC concentrations and provides local indication through a backlit graphic display, status indicators, and alarm functions.

Get A QuoteThe detector is housed in a robust 316 stainless-steel enclosure and supports 4–20 mA, RS-485/Modbus, and programmable alarm relay outputs, allowing integration with gas monitoring, PLC, SCADA, and other control systems. An internal diaphragm pump provides sampling at up to 500 cc/min, while magnetic controls allow calibration and parameter adjustment without opening the explosion-protected enclosure.
It is suitable for applications such as refineries, petrochemical facilities, chemical plants, laboratories, solvent and chemical storage areas, printing facilities, semiconductor plants, and paint spray booths. Honeywell specifically lists applications involving substances such as benzene, toluene, ammonia, acetone, xylene, phenol, and methyl ethyl ketone.
