Product Overview

Introducing our latest 2-wire, loop-powered sensor featuring HART 7 communication, designed to meet the demands of various industrial applications. This innovative sensor is equipped with a small beam angle, ensuring precise measurement even in challenging environments. To enhance durability, it incorporates a PEEK flange that offers exceptional protection against corrosive media, making it suitable for a wide range of harsh conditions.

With a 112mm (4.4 inches) antenna extension, the sensor is optimized for long nozzles, allowing for effective operation in applications where traditional sensors may fall short. It also boasts an empty tank spectrum function, which provides critical insights into tank levels and enhances operational efficiency. Achieving an accuracy of 0.08 inches (±2mm), this sensor delivers reliable and precise measurements, essential for maintaining optimal process control.

Our sensor supports a wide range of flange or thread connections, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and ease of installation. The large, backlit LCD screen facilitates easy reading of measurements and diagnostics, even in low-light conditions. Furthermore, extensive sensor diagnostics are included, providing users with valuable information about the sensor's performance and health.

To demonstrate our confidence in the quality and reliability of this product, we offer a comprehensive 3-year warranty, underscoring our commitment to customer satisfaction and product excellence. This sensor is a robust solution for industries requiring accurate measurement and high durability in their monitoring systems.

Product Specification

The KROHNE OPTIWAVE 7500 C Level Meter is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for very demanding liquid applications involving narrow tanks with long nozzles and internal obstructions like agitators or heating coils. Its very small beam angle and negligible dead zone make this FMCW radar the optimal choice for continuous, non-contact level measurement in both extremely small and very high tanks (up to 100 m / 328 ft). The level transmitter is even able to measure through tank roofs made of non-conductive materials. Its PEEK Lens antenna is insensitive to deposits and well suited for corrosive environments. As the antenna is flush-mounted, there is no intrusion into the tank.

The OPTIWAVE 7500 provides accurate readings even in processes with fast changing levels. It can be used in operating temperatures of up to +150°C / +302°F and pressures up to 40 barg / 580 psig. This level transmitter offers a wide range of flange connections and thread connections (starting from ¾"). It comes with approvals for use in hazardous areas as well as extensive device diagnostics (acc. to NE107) and HART 7 communication.

Applications for the 7500 C include:

  • General applications
  • Chemical industry
  • Petrochemical industry, oil and gas industry
  • Power industry
