Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440N-G02156 Ferrogard Magnetic Non-Contact Safety Switch


Give your machine guard door a safety upgrade with the Ferrogard 440N-G02156 Magnetic safety switch, 24 V dc in stainless steel housing, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. This switch ensures that power to machinery is cut off when the guard door or gate is opened and keeps the power supply isolated until the guard is closed again, preventing personnel from accessing a hazardous area and reducing risk of injury.


This safety switch is expertly designed to combine the reliability offered by non-contact switches with a high tolerance to door misalignment, to give you superior stability and security. It is also resilient against inadvertent impacts due to its robust stainless-steel housing, and the slim housing makes it ideal for narrow mounting areas. It has an environmental protection rating of IP67 (NEMA 6P), which makes it highly suitable for use in wet environments and industrial applications as it is fully dust-tight and durable against temporary immersion in water. The safety contact features internal non-resettable overload protection. These Ferrogard switches work by opening the NC safety contacts when the magnetic actuator is removed from the switch due to the release of the machine guard, which isolates machine power.


This Ferrogard magnetic non-contact switch has a supply voltage rating of 24V dc at 1A current, FRS14 housings and a 2m cable. It has 1 NC (Normally Closed) safety contact and 1 NC auxiliary contact. It has a switching distance of 12mm (Make) to 23mm (Break) and an operating temperature of -10°C to +65°C.

Note: This device can be used with Guardlink, a new safety linking technology from Allen Bradley GuardMaster. Guardlink simplifies and reduces the connection time of the safety system, whilst providing real-time diagnostic information over an Ethernet IP. This makes it simple to identify the location of the device that has tripped the system, thus reducing downtime and improving the machines overall efficiency.
