This PLC CPU starter pack from Rockwell Automation is a simple and compact control solution for your miniature application needs. It contains the Micro 850 controller and power supply unit, along with an input simulator that lets you test the capabilities of the automated setup. The simulator has seven digital inputs and one analogue input to enable multi-signal transmission on your automated system. The kit also contains USB and Ethernet cables for quick communication with personal computers. You'll find this a useful option as a prototyping tool in automation applications.

The Allen-Bradley Micro800 controllers, together with the Connected Components Workbench™ software, provide just the right control capability to match your micro application requirements. These controllers provide customizable and cost-effective solutions with plug-in and expansion I/O modules. Designed for standalone machines, the Micro800 controllers come in a variety of form factors to address a wide range of application requirements. For instance, the Micro810® controller is suitable for smart relay applications, while the Micro820™ controller is ideal for small applications with Ethernet connectivity. Finally, the Micro850® controller would be an optimal choice for larger applications with simple motion control.


How do I set up the input simulator of this unit ?


Starter packs are a great way to try out a smart micro automation solution without making high up-front investments.
Each starter pack contains the hardware you will need to familiarize yourself with the Micro800 controllers and their features.


To set up the input simulator, plug it into the input terminal of the Micro 850 controller. Next, connect a 24V DC power supply unit to the simulator and it's ready for use.
