Overview

The Ubiquiti UniFi WiFi BaseStation XG (UWB-XG) is a specialized, ultra-high-capacity access point engineered for massive public venues like stadiums, arenas, and festivals. While it uses the older Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2) standard, it remains one of the world's most powerful APs for managing extreme client density.

Specification

  • Quad-Radio Architecture: Features three dedicated 5 GHz client radios and a fourth radio strictly for persistent security and spectral monitoring.
  • Massive Client Support: Designed to handle 1,500+ concurrent clients (500 per client radio) with low-latency QoS.
  • Selectable Beamforming: Includes a "Super Antenna" with software-selectable coverage patterns to optimize cell size:
    • Small Cell: 15 dBi gain with a 50° beamwidth for precise targeting.
    • Large Cell: 10 dBi gain with a 90° beamwidth for broader coverage.
  • High-Speed Uplink: Equipped with a 10 GbE ICM Ethernet port and a secondary 1 GbE port for bridging.
