Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440N-Z2NRS1B MC1 Magnetic Safety Switch


Experience superior security for your machine guard door and ensure maximum personnel safety with the 440N-Z2NRS1B MC1 Magnetic Safety Switch by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. This magnetically coded non-contact switch combines several magnetically sensitive elements which must be activated in a specific order to work correctly, helping to minimise downtime, reduce risk of injury to machine operators, and keep your processes running seamlessly.


The 440N-Z2NRS1B Magnetically Coded Safety Interlock Switch has 2NC magnetically operated reed switches and a 10m cable. The housing material is comprised of moulded ABS plastic, in red. It is fully protected against ingress of dust and is durable against temporary immersion in water, with an environmental protection rating of IP67 (NEMA6P). It has an operating temperature range of -10 to +55°C (+14…+131 °F). The MC1 has a sensing distance of 8mm (make) and 15mm (break). This versatile sensor is easy to install due to its moulded-in brackets and small size. For high-risk applications a control unit is used with a single sensor to provide a high-integrity system. For other applications, multiple sensors (including mechanical switches) can be connected.


Non-contact safety interlock switches improve safety for personnel by isolating the power supply to machinery when the guard door is released. This reduces the risk of injury to machine operators by preventing dangerous machine processes from running while the barrier is open.
